Preparing for Parenthood
You're about to start a brand new chapter of your life: parenthood. How exciting! But there’s more to do to prepare for a baby than picking out a paint color for your nursery and stocking up on diapers. The good news is, you don’t have to prepare alone.
Take advantage of a wide variety of educational opportunities.
Choose from group classes including:
- Big Brother and Big Sister
- Baby Care
- Infant Safety and CPR
- Maternity Tours
- Prenatal Water Aerobics
- Breastfeeding for Working Mothers
- Nursing Mothers Support Group
- Lactation Center Services
Or try our eLearning Childbirth Education program, if you’re unable to attend a class due to bed rest or other conflicts. This web-based program uses interactive activities to guide you through the basics of childbirth, breastfeeding, and caring for your baby.
Call 419-291-5666 to register for classes. Register early in your pregnancy and plan to start classes by week 32. Written confirmation, which will include the locations or your classes, will be mailed to you.
