Amenities During Your Stay
Who can you ask for general information? Our information desk is located inside Entrance D in the Norman and Louise Jones Atrium. Our representatives will direct you where you need to go. Or call 419-578-7101.
Can you make special food requests? We happily accommodate any special dietary needs you have or restrictions your doctor orders. We prepare food that considers your medical, cultural, religious, or personal needs. Call 6369 from a patient room or 419-291-4000 (ask for room service) from your personal / cell phone.
Can you get mail? Our volunteers deliver mail and flowers to your room every day. Well forward to your home address any mail we get after you leave. You may purchase postage stamps in the gift shop, located off our main lobby.
Are reading materials available? For your convenience, The Blade, USA Today, and other periodicals can be purchased in the gift shop, located off the main lobby.
What about telephone service? Make and receive local calls at any time (outgoing long-distance calls will be charged). Your loved ones can call your room directly, or be transferred by the hospital operator at 419-578-7700.
Are cell phones allowed? You may use your cell phone in any of the hallways, lobbies, and waiting areas. Please do not use your cell phone within six feet of any medical equipment or in a restricted area.
Is a television included in your room? Every room has a television. This service is provided free of charge and includes: local cable, health education programming, and ProMedica Toledo Hospital video programming.
Communication, Support, and Advocacy
What if you have questions or concerns during your stay? A patient representative will work with you until your questions and concerns about your care are resolved. Patient representatives are available from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
Are interpreters available? You have access to interpreters in many languages, including Spanish, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, German, Polish, Arabic, and Vietnamese. We also have a video-based interpreter service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Can you get hearing-impaired services? Certified sign language interpreters are available, as well as phones with volume controls for people with hearing difficulties. Ask your nurse for assistance. 419-578-7079.
What about spiritual guidance? A chaplain is available Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. Get support, prayers, sacraments, and devotional materials for you and your loved ones. A non-denominational meditation room is located across from the fireplace in our Norman and Louise Jones Atrium, just inside our main entrance. Call 419-291-4007 for more information.
Policies You Should Know
How can you get a hospital bill estimate? We believe in being open with you about your health care costs. Our pricing specialists will give you an estimate after they review your insurance and your doctor’s orders. Call 419-824-9015. Find pricing for our most common services.
Can you get financial assistance? Our commitment and policy is to provide services free of charge if they’re medically necessary and you’re financially eligible. Payment plans are also available. Apply for financial assistance at ProMedica.
How is your privacy protected? You have a legal right to full medical privacy. We take every necessary step to protect your privacy and secure your medical records. Learn about your patient right to privacy.
What is the smoking policy? To support our community’s health, we have a strict policy against using tobacco products of any kind in the hospital or on the grounds, lawns, sidewalks, or parking lots (including in vehicles). Please be respectful and avoid loitering or littering on neighboring properties.
