The council meetings discuss strategies and procedures in the company of one another, to learn what impacts patients and families, as well as look for ways to improve the overall patient experience during their stay.
The Patient and Famiily Advisory Council is a caring and warm environment at Toledo Hospital providing open arms and an ear to listen. All meetings provide comfortable seating and informative conversation.

Patient-and-Family-Centered Care: The Core Concept
Patient-and-Family-Centered Care is ProMedica's daily approach to health care that’s grounded in a partnership among health care providers, patients, and families. It redefines the relationships in health care.
As patient-and-family-centered caregivers, we recognize the vital role that patients and their families play in their health and well-being. We understand that emotional, social, and developmental support is so important in your journey to wellness.
To prove our devotion to the patient and family centered care concept, we stand by four powerful principles.
||Dignity and Respect:We listen to and honor your family’s perspectives and choices. Your knowledge, values, beliefs, and cultural background are all considered in the planning and delivery of care for your child.
||Information Sharing:We communicate and share complete and unbiased information with you in ways that honor you and your child and are useful to you. You’ll receive timely, complete, and accurate information so you can participate in care and decision-making.
||Participation:We support and encourage you and your family as you participate in care and decision-making at the level you choose.
||Collaboration:Patients, families, health care practitioners, and hospital leaders collaborate in policy and program development, implementation and evaluation, health care facility designs, and professional education, as well as in the delivery of care.
Join us, and be at the center of our care.
