ProMedica Ebeid Neighborhood Promise began with the help of philanthropist Russell J. Ebeid. His generous $1.5 million donation helped establish ProMedica Ebeid Institute in 2015. Two years later, his family made another substantial donation of $28.5 million to help establish the ProMedica Ebeid Neighborhood Promise.
Mr. Ebeid dedicated much of his life to helping others. In 2007, he made his first donation to ProMedica to build ProMedica's first inpatient hospice facility- the Ebeid Hospice Residence - on the campus of ProMedica Flower Hospital. He was also a member of ProMedica's Board of Trustees.
