Helpful Information For Your Stay
What should you bring? We’ll provide a gown, but you may want to bring a robe, slippers, and toiletries. Also bring any admission paperwork, insurance information, and a photo ID.
How can you learn more about your procedure? Emmi® is an educational, web-based program that explains medical procedures and conditions. If your ProMedica Physicians provider gives you an Emmi® access code to learn more about your procedure, visit the Emmi® website to access your account.
Will you have a television? Each patient room has a television and a channel guide. You’ll get local cable, health education programs, and ProMedica Flower Hospital, A Division of ProMedica Toledo Hospital, video programming, all at no cost to you.
What about telephone services and cell phones? You can receive incoming calls in your room from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and can place outgoing calls at any time. Local outgoing calls are no charge but long-distance calls will be charged to you. You’re welcome to use your cell phone anywhere throughout the hospital unless otherwise prohibited.
Communication, Support, and Advocacy
Can you get help if you have trouble hearing? Yes. Certified sign language interpreters are available, as are phones with volume controls. Call our main number, 419-824-1444, to inquire.
What about interpreter services? We offer free translation services in 140 languages if you have difficulty speaking or understanding English. How do I make arrangements for interpreter or sign language assistance prior to coming to the hospital? ProMedica complies with all federal nondiscrimintation and accessibility laws. Read more about how we comply here, or call 844-810-1634 to arrange for the services you need.
Is patient advocacy available? If there’s any reason you feel your care hasn’t been excellent, contact the department manager or your patient advocate. Your representative will provide additional help during your stay, and assist you in communicating your concerns or needs. To reach an advocate, call the hospital operator by dialing “0” on your room phone or call 419-824-1879.
Guidelines and Policies
How can you find pricing information? You want to know what to expect when it comes to the cost of your services. View our pricing information for common procedures. A pricing specialist will review your insurance benefits for the services your doctor has ordered and provide you with an estimate of your final bill.
Is financial assistance available? We provide medically-necessary services to our community, regardless of an individual’s ability to pay. Financial assistance is available for all eligible patients. Learn more about applying for financial assistance at ProMedica.
Does the hospital have a smoking policy? The ProMedica Flower Hospital, A Division of ProMedica Toledo Hospital, campus is tobacco-free. This includes our lawns, walkways, sidewalks, parking lots (including inside vehicles), and any other grounds ProMedica maintains. Please also avoid littering and loitering on properties that surround our campus.
