You want cancer experts to help you navigate your cancer diagnosis and treatment. Get to know some of the members of your ProMedica cancer team.
Medical oncologists are specially trained in chemotherapy treatment. Your medical oncologist will inform you about medications, their effectiveness, and their potential side effects. You’ll also discuss clinical trials with your medical oncologist.
ProMedica Surgical Oncologists
Surgical oncologists are specialized surgeons that focus the removal of cancerous tumors and body tissue. Before that happens, though, a surgeon reviews your test results and then decides whether an operation is a recommended cancer treatment.
