When should you arrive? Your doctor will tell you what time to arrive for your appointment. Make sure to leave extra time to complete your admission paperwork.
Get maps, driving directions, and parking information.
What should you bring with you? Bring anything you need for daily function, like hearing aids, glasses, or dentures. Also bring a photo ID, your insurance information, and the written order from your doctor, if you have it.
Where do you check in? Go through our main entrance at the front of the hospital and stop by our information desk. Our friendly staff will direct you to where you will complete your paperwork. Insurance information, identification, or medication lists are typically submitted and filed at this time.
How will you know when it’s time to leave the hospital? We want to make sure you're ready before you leave the hospital. Your doctor will carefully monitor your progress. When we’re satisfied you can continue to heal on your own or in an assisted facility, your doctor and discharge planner will begin your discharge process.
What if you need follow-up care? Before you leave, your discharge planner will give you instructions about medication or other follow-up instructions. If you need it, he or she will also work with you to arrange continuing care, like home health care, home medical equipment, wound care, or physical therapy.
