All ProMedica Laboratories locations are CLIA certified. CLIA is “Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments”. CLIA certification means that ProMedica Laboratories complies with stringent government standards to ensure quality laboratory testing. The CAP accreditation means that ProMedica Laboratories complies with rigorous scientific standards to maintain accuracy of test results and ensure accurate patient diagnosis. ProMedica Metro Regional Hospitals on the Toledo Hospital Campus (CAP #1643101), Flower Hospital Campus (CAP #1643601) and Bay Park Hospital Campus (CAP #7175443) are additionally accredited by the CAP 15189 program. CAP 15189 accreditation means that ProMedica Laboratories has voluntarily attained a high level of excellence in medical laboratory quality management.
