New employees will receive a letter confirming the details of your new job and orientation. Your offer of employment is contingent upon your ability to successfully pass a post-offer physical exam, criminal background check and U.S. work eligibility requirements. If professional licensure and certification are required for your position, proof is verified online through a professional licensing agency or by viewing an acceptable original document. Get a Physical Exam
Your physical exam, which will last approximately one hour, will be scheduled by your recruiter and may include the following:
- Drug screen
- Tobacco screen
- Lab work
- Eye exam
- Lift test
If you have taken a tuberculin skin test (PPD) within the last 12 months, please bring it to your appointment. If you have any immunity titers, such as measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, Hepatitis B, or other vaccines, please bring documentation with you as well. Online New Hire Paperwork
All new employees will receive an e-mail detailing the required forms they need to complete prior to their start date. They include:
- Notification of Drug and Tobacco Testing
- Acknowledgment of Employee Code of Conduct
- Demographic & Emergency Contact Information
- Direct Deposit (Account and routing numbers are required, please provide a voided check)
- Federal Form W-4

Get Your Employee ID Badge
To ensure the safety of patients, customers and employees, all ProMedica employees are required to wear an ID badge at all times while at ProMedica facilities. Your recruiter will provide instructions on how to obtain your badge prior to your first day.
Become Familiar with Your Work Location
With approximately 320 sites in two states, you'll need to know your way around. Please become familiar with your particular work location and be sure you know where employee parking lots are located. If you plan to take public transportation to work, many of our facilities are located on public transportation routes.
Be Ready for Your First Day
Confirm your work schedule and where to report prior to your first day of work by contacting your supervisor. Be sure to ask for parking and transportation tips. Remember to check to see if there's anything you need to bring on your first day of work.
