ADA and Interpreter Services
Interpreter Services for ProMedica Patients
To ensure effective communication with patients and their companions who are deaf, hard of hearing, have limited English proficiency (LEP), or have other language barriers, ProMedica provides appropriate auxiliary aids and services free of charge.
These services may include:
- American Sign Language
- Oral interpreters
- Foreign language interpreters
- Video remote interpreters
- Video relay service
- Speech to text services
- Visual aids
- Written materials
- Closed captioned television
If you recognize or have any reason to believe that a patient or the relative, close friend, or companion of a patient is deaf, hard of hearing, or has any language barrier, you must advise the person that appropriate services and auxiliary aids will be provided free of charge when necessary.
