Gastroenterology

ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, diagnostic procedures and treatments for disorders of the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.

Treatment is provided for:

  • abdominal pain
  • celiac disease
  • constipation / encopresis
  • diarrhea, failure to thrive and feeding problems
  • food allergies
  • gastrointestinal bleeding
  • gastroesophageal reflux
  • inflammatory bowel disease
  • lactose intolerance
  • liver disease
  • liver transplant evaluation
  • vomiting

In addition, inpatient and outpatient services are offered for:

  • 24-hour pH / impedance probes
  • banding of esophageal varices
  • colonoscopies
  • endoscopy procedures
  • esophageal manometry
  • feeding tube placement/management
  • liver biopsies, nutritional services/feeding team
  • percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube placement
  • rectal suction biopsies
