Our nurses work in an environment where medical breakthroughs, new technology and improved treatments can make a difference in the lives of their patients. This is why our nurses are so dedicated to scholarly inquiry and nursing research. ProMedica is proud of our nurses’ efforts, and we encourage them with tuition reimbursement for continuing education, access to membership in professional organizations, certification programs, professional enhancement programs and Continuing Nursing Education.

ProMedica Nursing Professional Development and Education Council

At ProMedica, you’ll also have the opportunity to help guide other nurses as a champion for professional development and continuous learning in the areas of practice and standards of care. The council supports the recommendations and actions of the Nursing Leadership Collaborative.

ProMedica CPR Rescue Training Center

According to the American Heart Association (AHA), approximately 92% of sudden cardiac arrest victims die before reaching the hospital. However, statistics show that if more people knew cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), more lives could be saved. Immediate CPR can double, or even triple, a victim’s chance of survival. ProMedica is proud to offer three AHA-approved emergency cardiovascular care programs. These include Basic Life Support (BLS) classes and CPR courses for the public and for healthcare professionals as well as pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) classes for current healthcare providers.
