Industry Relationships

ProMedica believes that the fulfillment of its mission as a leader in improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities requires interactions with industry partners, including pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. These physician-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes.

At the same time, ProMedica understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. ProMedica is committed to working with its affiliated physicians, as well as its management and executive staff, to ensure that potential conflicts of interest are identified, reviewed and appropriately managed. ProMedica requires the disclosure of specific information with respect to companies with which physicians interact as part of their professional activities. In providing this information, our goal is to assist patients in talking with their physicians about industry relationships that may impact their medical care.
