Critical Care
The Flower Hospital intensive care unit (ICU) provides care for critically ill or injured patients. A team of physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists cares for each patient. When patients become seriously ill, families can rest assured their loved ones will receive intensive care that includes empathy, support and compassion.
The combined medical, surgical and coronary intensive care unit is located on the first floor of the hospital. The Flower Hospital ICU offers 12 private patient rooms, which feature flat screen televisions, an open nurses' station for enhanced patient monitoring and a hemodialysis section located adjacent to the ICU. Four of the rooms feature ceiling lifts for moving patients more comfortably. For the comfort of families, the area also provides a waiting room.
