Personal Items

Personal items other than a gown, robe, slippers and toiletry articles are not needed while staying in the hospital. It is recommended that all valuables be sent home with a friend or relative. The hospital cannot be responsible for loss or breakage of personal belongings.

Smoking Policy

In keeping with its mission to provide quality health care, smoking is not permitted in Defiance Regional Hospital or near its entrances. This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, physicians, visitors and patients.

To receive information now on how to quit or curb the use of tobacco products, please contact 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669). Thank you for assisting us in offering a healthy environment to everyone who visits our facility. We appreciate your cooperation.

Cell phones may be used in all public areas of the hospital, including hallways, lobbies, public waiting areas and the cafeteria. However, cell phones are not allowed within six feet of medical equipment or in non-public restricted areas such as intensive care units, surgery, recovery and the lab.

A public telephone is located at the information desk on the first-floor at the main entrance.
