The Renaissance
As ProMedica Health System’s largest construction effort to date, The Renaissance at The Toledo Hospital and Toledo Children’s Hospital features a new 10-level, 500,000-square-foot patient tower designed specifically to enhance the patient care experience, expand services and better serve patients in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
The new tower houses many of the most important clinical areas of The Toledo Hospital and Toledo Children’s Hospital, including the surgical intensive care unit (ICU), adult intermediate care units, newborn intensive care unit (NICU), general pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology.

The Renaissance: Highlights
The sense of arrival to the campus has been transformed
with the creation and realignment of ProMedica Parkway,
formerly Oatis Avenue, into a tree-lined boulevard. The new
site design simplifies pedestrian and vehicle traffic in and out
of parking garages and surface lots, providing clear and
obvious wayfinding.
The creation of two separate and distinctive entry points for
Toledo Children’s Hospital and The Toledo Hospital provides
patients and visitors with exceptional comfort and convenience
