Our food and nutrition department makes healthy and enjoyable meals for our patients. We are happy to provide any special food needs that you may have or that your doctor may order due to medical, religious, cultural or personal reasons.
The Bay Cafe is located in the garden level of the hospital and is open from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday, and 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Gift Shop

The Beacon Gift Shop, located on the first level of the hospital, offers a wide selection of gifts, cards, books, magazines, candy, flowers, seasonal collectibles and personal articles. Most major credit cards are accepted.

Weekends: Noon – 5 p.m.
Hearing-Impaired Services
Certified sign language interpreters are available, as well as phones with volume controls for patients with hearing difficulties.

Located at the main entrance of the hospital, the information desk representatives are available to direct you to the services you are seeking.
Internet Access
Wireless internet access is available throughout Bay Park Community Hospital. If you do not have a portable computer, Bay Park has computers in its Health Resource Library that patients and families can use to access the internet. The library is open to visitors and patients Monday through Friday from
8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Bay Park Community Hospital provides certified interpreters for most languages.
Library

The Bay Park Community Hospital Health Resource Library welcomes physicians, nurses, students, health care personnel, patients and their families, and community members. The library provides access to a wide range of books, journals, educational videos, and computers with Internet access. Other resources and services include complimentary photocopying, audiovisual equipment, medical databases, and access to material not found at the Health Resource Library. The library is located near the main lobby in the hospital and is open Monday through Friday from
8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Mail and Postage Stamps
Mail and flowers are delivered daily to patients in their rooms by volunteers. Any mail received after discharge will be forwarded to the patient’s home address. Postage stamps can be purchased in the gift shop, and mail can be sent via the United States Postal Service mailbox located near the professional office building entrance on the west side of the facility.
Newspapers
The Toledo Blade and USA Today may be purchased in the gift shop. Numerous magazines and other reading materials are available as well.
Overnight Accommodations
Family members of our patients are invited to stay as long as they would like throughout the night. A sleeper sofa is included in every room throughout the hospital for your comfort. In addition, all family members are eligible to receive discounts at area hotels. Please ask a Bay Park Community Hospital employee for a list of area hotels.
Parking
There are more than 850 free parking spaces throughout the 50-acre campus, including convenient handicapped parking.
Pastoral Services

The non-denominational chapel is located near the Emergency Center lounge on the first level of Bay Park Community Hospital. Bibles are available through the hospital’s Health Resource Library. In addition, a member of the local clergy is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet with patients and their families to facilitate their coping with the many facets of illness and recovery.
Patient Information
If patients select that information be provided to callers, information can include the patient’s room number and general medical condition.
Personal Items
Personal items other than a gown, robe, slippers and toiletry articles are not needed while staying in the hospital. It is recommended that all valuables be sent home with a friend or relative. Dentures, glasses and hearing aids are vital for many patients. We ask that patients make every effort to keep them in a safe place when not in use. The hospital cannot be responsible for loss or breakage of personal belongings.
Smoking Policy
All ProMedica Health System campuses, including Bay Park Community Hospital, are tobacco-free, indoors and outdoors. This includes our lawns, walkways, sidewalks, parking lots (including inside vehicles), and any other grounds that ProMedica maintains. As a courtesy, please also be considerate of our neighbors, avoiding littering and loitering on properties that surround our campus.

Telephone Service and Cell Phones
We understand the importance of being able to communicate to family while you are staying with us. The phone number to your room is labeled on the phones provided. The main hospital phone number is 419-690-7900. Please feel free to share either of these numbers with your family and friends who may want to contact you during your stay. Patients may place local outgoing calls at no charge. Long distance calls should be charged to a credit card, calling card or home telephone number. Prepaid calling cards are available in the gift shop.
Cell phones may be used anywhere in the hospital.
Television Services
Television service at Bay Park Community Hospital is free of charge to patients, and channel guides are available in each room. The television programming provided consists of local cable, health education programming and Bay Park Community Hospital video programming.

As part of our devotion to our patients and families, we do not limit visiting hours at Bay Park Community Hospital, unless for medical reasons.
