Walleye at Wildwood featuring Mr. Hockey® - Gordie Howe®

On October 15, Wildwood Medical Center hosted a community event featuring Mr. Hockey himself, Gordie Howe. All proceeds went to benefit the mission of the Wildwood Medical Center Foundation.

State-of-the Art Orthopaedics

In 2007, ProMedica broke ground on the Wildwood Medical Center campus for northwest Ohio’s first orthopaedic institute. The first phase of construction, a new 44,000 square foot Medical Office Building, was completed in 2008.

This year, ProMedica will break ground on the region’s first dedicated orthopaedic hospital. The new hospital will feature 36 patient rooms—specially designed for orthopaedic and spine patients, six operating rooms, pre and post surgical areas, and will be conveniently located next to Wildwood Medical Center, a ProMedica rehabilitation facility and numerous physician offices.

By providing a state-of the-art center for the region’s leading orthopaedic physicians and clinicians, the institute will create an efficient, quality-centered environment to offer the best possible experience and outcomes for patients. From total joint replacement, spine, back, hand, foot, and ankle surgery to rehabilitation to sports medicine treatment, patients will have the assurance of world-class orthopaedic care.

Sports Medicine

Because sports are so crucial to adults and teenagers alike, and they present the risk of very specific injuries, ProMedica Health System has a comprehensive sports medicine program that includes a highly experienced, multidisciplinary team to treat athletes of all ages.
