At ProMedica Health System, our care for patients with diabetes focuses on assisting medical management with education in the following key areas: understanding diabetes, treatment care plan, medication, meal planning, exercise and blood glucose monitoring. Using the latest information and systematic approaches, educators design plans which support medical treatment. By controlling blood sugar, patients will reach and maintain a higher standard of health.

Our diabetes education programs are recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA), which validates that the curricula taught and the teaching method used have met the standardized guidelines and approval of the ADA.
