Adult Day Care at The Goerlich Center provides safe, secure care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia so that caregivers can takes breaks whenever needed. It is around-the-clock respite care designed specifically for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Our program provides caregivers with the flexibility they need for personal appointments, shopping, work and relaxation. We offer care:

• 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
• Provided by licensed nurses and state-tested nursing assistants, with licensed nurses administering all medication.
• Supervised by a full-time medical director specializing in neurology.
• To patients in all stages of the disease process (functional ability is not an admission condition).

We also provide:

• Secure, enclosed courtyards where patients can roam safely.
• Appropriate daily activities.
• Cameras at all exits.
• A wheelchair-accessible bus for off-site activities.
• Meals and snacks, with accommodations for special dietary needs.
• Employees specifically trained to care for patients with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Permanent staff members assigned to each patient.
• An on-site beauty shop (additional fee).
• Assistance with showers twice per week (additional fee).
• Wellness assessments every three months.
