Breastfeeding is commonly not something a mother automatically knows how to do with her newborn. It can take some time and a little experience to master it, but the result can be very rewarding. Before and after the baby is born, contact us to learn the basics of breastfeeding.
Lactation consultants are experienced health care professionals, who specialize in breastfeeding and are certified by the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants.
ProMedica’s lactation services offer women up-to-date information to help make breastfeeding an easy and fulfilling experience. Services at our hospitals may include:

- A breast pump rental station.
- Lactation consultant services while you and your baby are in the hospital.
