Our Level I Trauma Center at The Toledo Hospital provides the highest level of trauma care for injured patients of all ages.

ProMedica Health System is a leader in trauma services for the communities of northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.  The Toledo Hospital has a long-standing designation as a Level I Trauma Center, and our transportation services, which includes ProMedica Air (air ambulances) and a ground fleet of mobile intensive care units and ambulances, ensure that patients are transported quickly to the most appropriate hospital for their medical condition. 

The medical professionals on ProMedica’s trauma services team also provide leadership in the community for injury prevention, education and continuing education of trauma team members. Additionally, we are committed to continued improvement through a comprehensive quality assessment program and an organized research effort to help direct new innovations in trauma care.
