Wound Care
The Center for Wound Care offers treatment for wounds that are not healing properly. These may be wounds caused by diabetes, poor circulation, pressure sores or other medical problems. Our experienced staff is specially trained to treat these types of wounds and help you get back to your normal routine.
On your first visit to our center, we will examine your wound and discuss your overall health. Our nurses will teach you how to care for your wounds at home. You will learn to bandage, clean and protect your wound from further injury. We will also help you get items you may need to care for your wounds such as bandages, dressing supplies, special shoes and special beds.
Our staff will involve you at every step of the healing process and count on you to keep your appointments, follow their instructions for taking care of your wounds, and let them know when things change between your scheduled appointments.
We also offer
hyperbaric medicine, the only program of its kind within a 50-mile radius of the Toledo area. This specialized area of medicine treats diabetic wounds of the lower extremities and other medical situations that warrant hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
