Our modern facility offers access to high quality medical care for minor illnesses or injuries that require prompt medical attention but not the life-saving services of a hospital emergency department. ProMedica UrgentCare provides comprehensive and compassionate health services for adult and childhood non-emergency concerns, including:

  • Earaches
  • Sinus infections and sinusitis

 As an extension of the nationally-renowned hospitals of ProMedica Health System, ProMedica UrgentCare provides you with rapid, direct access to the world-class, advanced care available at The Toledo Hospital should you need it.

 

What happens after I leave ProMedica UrgentCare?


Our expert staff will explain your diagnosis and treatment plan with you fully. You will be advised about all prescribed follow-up instructions, medications and home care.

 Additionally, with your signed permission, a record of your treatment will be sent to your primary care physician, who can provide any necessary follow-up care.

ProMedica UrgentCare offers a convenient alternative when your primary care physician or pediatrician’s offi ces are closed. It is not meant to replace the care of your personal physician.

 

What forms of insurance and payment does ProMedica UrgentCare accept?


ProMedica UrgentCare accepts most health insurance plans that include ProMedica Health System facilities.

Cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are also accepted at the time of service. Please note: patients are responsible for all copayments and deductibles that may apply.

ProMedica UrgentCare is not a substitute for emergency care. You should always seek treatment at a hospital emergency center for very serious or life-threatening problems.

If you experience any of the following symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency center immediately:

  • Chest pain
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Sudden dizziness, weakness or loss of coordination or balance
  • Sudden blurred vision
  • Numbness in the face, arm or leg
  • Sudden, severe headache
  • Deep cuts or bleeding that won’t stop
  • Coughing up or vomiting blood
  • Severe, blistering burns
  • Seizures
