ProMedica, UT Celebrate Academic Partnership and Nurses Week on WJR

In celebration of National Nurses Week and the one-year anniversary of an Academic Health Center agreement between ProMedica and The University of Toledo, Paul W. Smith, of WJR AM760, spoke with leaders from both organizations this month about their mission to enhance clinical education and to improve community health in the region.

Randy Oostra, president and CEO of ProMedica, and Dr. Jeffrey Gold, chancellor and executive vice-president for biosciences and health affairs for The University of Toledo Medical Center, spoke with WJR about how their academic partnership strengthens both organizations and benefits Ohio communities.
Dr. Neeraj Kanwal, vice-president of medical affairs for The Toledo Hospital, spoke with WJR about the increase in research initiatives at ProMedica and The University of Toledo Medical Center and about bringing the benefits of an academic partnership to patients.

Scott Scarborough, senior vice-president and executive director of The University of Toledo Medical Center, spoke with WJR about increasing patient satisfaction and training future physicians to provide the kind of exemplary care that patients expect and deserve.
