ProMedica Offers a New Option For Non-Emergency Medical Care
posted on: 10/03/2013
ProMedica has a new option for busy people who need non-emergency medical care evenings, weekends and holidays. ProMedica AfterHours is an extension of the doctor’s office for non-emergency sick visits. The new center is located adjacent to Levis Commons, in the Perrysburg Medical Center, 1601 Brigham Dr. This location will serve as a pilot for additional locations across metro Toledo.
ProMedica AfterHours is staffed by certified nurse practitioners who can diagnose and treat minor medical conditions, and prescribe medications. After each patient visit, the primary care provider will be contacted for any necessary patient follow up. ProMedica AfterHours connects electronically to ProMedica Physicians’ offices and will be able to see those patients’ medical histories and medications.
“Our goal is to allow convenient, quality care during those non-traditional business hours when your primary provider is not available and also keeping your medical records updated in your primary care provider’s office,” says Cindy Edwards-Tuttle, certified nurse practitioner.
ProMedica AfterHours is now open from 6:30 - 11:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 1 - 8 p.m. on weekends and holidays. The clinic accepts all major health plans and the co-pay is the same as any doctor’s office visit.
