About the Program
The ProMedica Toledo Hospital Metabolic and Bariatric Program is dedicated to providing a surgical weight-loss option for adults facing severe obesity. Led by board-certified medical director Patrick White, MD, FACS, this team of nurses, physician assistants, dietitians, social workers, physical therapists, and patient educators offers a comprehensive, supportive pre- and post-surgery program for patients. The program has been in continuous operation for more than six years. During that time, we have provided expert, compassionate care to many people throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
Obesity is a serious condition with many contributing factors. It’s not easy to lose weight and embrace a healthy lifestyle, but bariatric surgery can be a great way to begin. Looking for inspiration? Read our patient success stories to find out how others have been empowered to commit to a healthy lifestyle after bariatric surgery at Toledo Hospital.
Our support for our patients doesn’t end with the completion of surgery. Our program will help you adjust to life after surgery and learn to adapt to your new physical needs and the emotional changes that can accompany weight loss. Take a look at our patient resources to see what kinds of post-surgery help we offer.
