Bowling Green Students Win Third Annual Fields of Green Scholarship Challenge
ProMedica awarded $19,000 in scholarships to 14 area high school students as part of its third annual Fields of Green scholarship competition, held January 29, 2011, at Toledo Hospital’s Donald V. Kellermeyer Education Center Auditorium.
As part of ProMedica’s childhood obesity initiative, this year’s competition challenged students in grades 10 – 12 to develop a healthy breakfast plan for elementary school children. Each meal plan was required to include five in-school and five at-home meals, plus education materials for parents on the importance of nutrition and healthy eating.
