Letter to the Community

Both ProMedica and our managed care company, Paramount Health Care, are proud to launch next generation consumer web sites. We sincerely hope that in addition to liking the new architecture—or “look” and organization—of our web sites, you also find them much easier to navigate so that you use these sites more often in the future … for instance, when seeking information about ProMedica hospitals, programs and services, your Paramount insurance, or even general health information.

Before we began designing and building these new sites, significant research was done to assess how you and other healthcare consumers were already using the ProMedica and Paramount web sites, and how the sites should change to better meet your needs.

Based on the research findings, ProMedica took a new approach, specifically organizing content with you, the consumer, in mind. To that end, both sites (www.promedica.org and www.paramounthealthcare.com) are now more service-line focused. We also simplified the navigation and optimized content for search engines, which will make it easier for you and your family to find the information you need. And, the health education content has been significantly enhanced so that you may quickly obtain credible, credentialed information about specific, health-related symptoms.

We plan to use this new design and platform to launch a patient Web portal, where you will be able to obtain your specific health information in a secure, online environment. ProMedica also will increase our sites’ video content, as well as enable you to connect with ProMedica via social media sites such as Facebook.

We are excited to launch these new web sites and look forward to offering you even more enhanced services in future months.
