Gynecological Robotic Surgery

Gone are the days of open surgery which often come with wide incisions, pain, long recovery (usually six weeks), heavy pain medication, risk of infection, and significant blood loss. Hysterectomies performed with the da Vinci Surgical System offer many benefits to women over other types of hysterectomies.

Gynecologic robotic surgery is a less invasive procedure performed through several tiny incisions. These 1-2 centimeter incisions make robotic surgery the least invasive type of gynecologic surgery available today. Robotic surgery means less pain, less blood loss, and less chance for scarring or infection than with traditional gynecologic surgeries. Furthermore, your healing and recovery time will be faster (around two weeks). Robotic surgery technology helps you get back on your feet and back to your normal activities more quickly.
