Education and Research
Education and research are the cornerstones of progress. With them, ProMedica's professionals expand their knowledge and advance the quality of health care for patients locally and nationally. For decades, the member hospitals of ProMedica Health System have actively engaged physicians, nurses, other allied health professionals and community members in educational programs and research focused on improving the quality of and access to comprehensive health services.
To build upon and strengthen the commitment to high-quality patient care, ProMedica established the Health, Education and Research Corporation (HERC) in 1999. Under the auspices of this not-for-profit organization, the resources needed to provide comprehensive education and to develop responsibly conducted research have been consolidated and expanded.
