Community Health

We at ProMedica strive to improve the overall health in areas that we serve by offering convenient access to compassionate and comprehensive care.

Public health communication is an important part of the care that we provide. You can depend on us for information about potential health risks in our communities, as well as best practices for preventing and treating infection. Please find information below about health topics that may affect you and your family.

Seasonal Influenza (Flu)

The flu, also known as seasonal influenza, is a contagious respiratory illness that is caused by an influenza virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Please explore our flu section for information about flu and flu control, which has been approved by our Infection Prevention & Control department to serve as a resource to the community.

Due to widespread reports of influenza activity across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, ProMedica is limiting inpatient visitation at our hospitals, effective January 16, 2013. For the health and well-being of our patients and employees, please do not visit if you have a fever greater than 100 degrees, or feel feverish, with a cough.
